Jibun wo SSS-kyuu da to Omoikonde Iru C-kyuu Majutsu Gakusei

The strongest man in the academy is secretly hiding his true power while pretending to be an ordinary student… There is a boy who has devoted his life to making that fantasy a reality. Ichinose Sion, a perfectly average C-rank magic student at Crawford Magic Academy. Four hundred years ago, a legendary hero reached the mythical height known as SSS-rank, and ever since, no one has matched that level of power. Yet rumors have begun to spread that someone at the academy has finally attained it, an overwhelmingly powerful student whose true abilities remain carefully concealed. That student is said to be Ichinose Sion. …Or so the story goes. In truth, Sion is simply a peculiar young boy who thrills at playing the role of a hidden powerhouse. Acting both on and off campus as though he were an SSS-rank elite, he throws himself into the performance with absolute commitment, dramatic poses, cryptic remarks, and mysterious behavior included. But as his eccentric “act” grows more elaborate, the people around him begin to misunderstand his intentions, and his carefully staged delusion slowly starts pulling everyone into its orbit…?! His acting and delusions may be SSS-rank, but his actual magic is only C-rank. Thus begins the wildly mistaken “strongest” heroic tale of one slightly unhinged magic student who is determined to live out his ultimate power fantasy!
